Dominion Energy was willing to put the pole-to-house wiring underground between house meter and the pole at no cost when we upgraded to 200A service, PROvIDED that we dug the trench to their specifications — and that we were responsible for covering the trench with dirt AFTER the final inspections.
We did it to reduce chance of a limb from our own tree hitting that wire in a storm. YMMV. |
