The breeder moved out of the country and is no longer breeding dogs. Apparently this dog was part of their last litter. My contract specifies they must to be asked first if the dog needs to be rehomed. They are not taking the dog back.
I will gladly take the dog if it's a havanese. It sounds a bit odd that the breeder moved out of the country that quickly and the dog is only 3 months when they come home at 12 weeks but we'll take it as we have a havanese and would like another. How do we contact you?
The breeder is in her 60s and is originally from Puerto Rico. I wasn’t aware she was going to move and stop breeding. Would you be willing to work with a rescue to vet you?
No, I'm not willing to pay a rescue as I think most of them are scam given what they charge. We'll go back to our breeder for a second at some point. We have a great breeder and for what the rescues charge I'd rather pay slightly more and go through our breeder. You are welcome to see our home, meet our dog, and see how well cared for she is. My spouse would love a second dog.
