Yes, different in religion, but if you were parachuted blindfolded onto one of the campuses, it might take you a couple minutes to figure out which one you had landed on. The schools are similar academically (they are better than a lot of people here understand, particularly for top track kids) and in their focus on sports.

The huge difference between the two is that at Prep, the student bodies, alumni, faculty and staff are overwhelmingly Catholics.

While this difference may be unimportant —- or even invisible—- to you, the families chose Prep specifically because it is a Catholic school. If it were not, these boys would be at Gonzaga or St John’s and certainly not Landon.

It is led by a Priest and it reports to the Jesuit Province.

The buildings, playing fields, etc. are similar. But those are unimportant.

In spite of their physical similarities and geographic proximity, at least for the Prep crowd, Landon is not an alternative.
