Great idea—thanks for the suggestion

You do not want to pair a necklace with that neckline. Big earrings if you must. Perhaps a bracelet or stack. But not a necklace.

I'm not saying you absolutely can't pair a necklace with that dress, but it is a style challenge for sure and if you are here asking for advice I'm guessing your styling skills are not advanced.

This. It’s a great dress but the neckline is too high for a necklace, also the sleeves are super busy (in a good way). Large button earrings would be my accessory pick.

No need to throw digs in if your intention is to be helpful.

It wasn't a dig?

“I’m guessing that your styling skills are not advanced”

Doesn’t sound like a compliment.

Because of the neckline and sleeves, I would choose simple earrings and a few nice bracelets. Gold stud earrings, a pearl bracelet with 2 gold bracelets, one bangle and one chain.

Styling that dress with a necklace, with a neckline like that, would be really hard for just about anyone who isn't stylish enough to work as a professional stylist. And OP was literally asking the internet how to style the dress with jewelry, so I think it is a good assumption her skills are not at that level.

If someone were to ask about something really simple like, oh say, how to feed a starter, I would feel pretty safe in assuming their sourdough baking skills are not advanced. If someone were to ask about how to sand the top of an old dresser, I would guess their furniture refinishing skills are not advanced. It's not an insult. We don't all have advanced skills in every area. And when we do, we probably don't go asking DCUM for help.

Don't go around inventing drama where there is none.

It was unnecessary, as was your long diatribe.

Just own who you are.

Exactly. At least OP was informed enough to seek advice.

No advice but it’s a very pretty dress.

Thank you!

No necklace or bracelets, simple earrings.

It’s a classic sheath shape, and the ornamentation is already being supplied by the white piping and flutter sleeves. Focusing on accessories will be unnecessarily busy and detract from the impact pf tge dress.

The jacquard texture of the dress fabric calls for simple accessories. I mght bring out the piping color in an enameled bracelet or ring.
