The plain folk called. They want their furniture back. It's against their religious values to put that stuff in a multimillion $ mansion. |
Don't like either house but the carriage house or garage of #1 is acceptable. |
The landscaping in #2 is incredible. Swooning here! |
Right! Did you notice how all the trees are trimmed to the exact same level. It’s stuff like this that makes my heart flutter. |
If you plant a lot of flowers and bushes it could look like an English cottage, sort of. I'd go with 2. #1 hurts my eyes. |
Hi owner! |
23,000 sf?? No thank you. What a waste of resources. Even if l was loaded, the effort put in by other people maintaining my house would bother me.
2nd one is also too big but not disturbingly so. |
They are both pretty bad. The second one has such an 80s layout. |
Ha, I was just goin to say #2 by a mile ... but my kids sure would love the basketball court. |
Interesting. When I looked at number one all I thought about was all the people who would constantly be in and around the house for upkeep and maintenance. Never a day without people around, horrible. |
Can’t stand either. First is too big and it would take forever to rid of the gaudy marble. Second house is fussy, rooms too separated, not comfortable. |
Neither |
I would much prefer the Chain Bridge Rd house, but I hate the idea of a huge house like the first one. I have zero interest in anything that big. |
I feel like the party gravel area in house 2 might be modeled after the one at Meridian House with the linden trees and while I do love it, I feel like whenever I go to a party there people are always almost falling down and also I have no idea how much work it is to keep it clean but it must be a lot. |
The Potomac house is outrageous.
The DC house is elegant. The price difference between the 2 demonstrates just how crazy people are about their real estate choices. |
