What tote/personal item do you use for travel?

Get a cute bag from Scout.

I bought a $50 reversible faux leather tote from Nordstrom about 7 or 8 years ago. I don’t think they sell it any longer, but they have similar ones on Amazon. I keep thinking I need to buy another one, but don’t because is still in great-enough shape. Also it’s cheap and a perfect size. It’s like a large purse but fits everything I need. plane travel is the only time I use it and I don’t mind putting it on the floor of the airplane.

I have the Bellroy Tokyo Tote - recommended on Wirecutter. I love it because it's slim and carries like a large purse, but holds laptop, chargers, kindle, water, snacks beautifully.

TIA.

A nylon michael kors or something like that backpack w lots of zippers and flaps and pockets that I found at tjmaxx. I also take a foldable tumi voyager tote back in case I need to bring something extra home.

I got this from Amazon and love it. It is surprisingly roomy and fits under the seat in front of me.

Nice bag but how do you feel about putting things under the seat in front of you? All I can think about is people traipsing back from the wet urine soaked toilets in their dirty shoes. I don't want to put anything on the floor where those dirty shoes rest day after day.

Well, when there isn’t anywhere else to place things and the flight attendants won’t allow it to be underneath my feet, under the seat it goes. The bag washes. I throw it in the washing machine when I get home.

I have half a dozen of these in various sizes and colors. They’re fantastic. I use a purse organizer when not using them for travel so they’re less of a black hole.
