He was clammy, and collapsing practically, but kept saying his stomach hurt really bad. Once I turn the light on and get a good look at him, I saw his skin was greenish yellow in color. I was freaked out because he was OUT of it, and I thought he would pass out at any moment. He finally ended up going to the bathroom, almost filled the entire toilet with a bowel movement. I had him lay on the floor and put his feet up to elevate. Got better gradually, but it took about an hour before I felt comfortable enough to put him back to bed. I fully expected to call 911 for that hour.
It was very scary, but I’m glad he seems OK today. I kept him home from school just for observation, but he ate pretty normally and had a normal bowel movement. I’ve been researching the greenish/yellow color of skin — cannot find anything that explains that.
Anyone have insight?
You should have taken your kid to the ER. Don't email your pediatrician, call the pediatrician and explain the situation and they will see you ASAP.
