Beauvoir to Sidwell Exmission 2008

22:54 and 15:11, any idea what the reason was for leaving Beauvoir for Sidwell? Was Sidwell a first choice for these families when they first entered pre-k or k (and instead were accepted/ended up at Beauvoir), or did the families decide after being at Beauvoir that they definitely didn't want to continue on to STA or NCS, or was there something about Beauvoir that they didn't like?

The mother I spoke to was very careful and tactful in her conversation with me, but when she described Sidwell as a better "fit" for her family (not "child," but "family"), it certainly seemed to me she was conveying some unhappiness with the way her family has been received socially at Beauvoir.

A better fit socially in what way? Religion, Race, Family Makeup, Economics...?

I can't say for sure. But I can say that this particular mom occasionally made comments about the snottiness and Stepford qualities of the place. I always thought she was joking, but perhaps I was wrong.
