About the same rate for my 13-year-old. |
DS1 just turned 13. His feet went from size 9 to 12 in 7 months. He outgrew so many pairs of shoes this year! |
Echoing others from 11 to 12.5 we’ve gone from a 5 to 8. I’m just buying one pair of shoes at a time now |
His entire life, my son’s feet seem to have stayed the same size for a very long time, sometimes years, then suddenly shoot up 2+ sizes at once. He’s 16 and a 13 shoe now. The time before we bought shoes he was a 10.5. I hope the trend doesn’t continue. |
Age 13 to 14. I’m hoping it slows down now. He’s a size 13, bigger than his father’s feet! He’s about 5’9” but I think he’ll hit 6’ before he’s done. |
Is your son tall? |
14y or so...but he still kept growing in height. He is almost 18y and still growing. |
He’s about 5’2 now. Feet grow first. He’s actually always been on the short side until now. Seems average for a 6th grader |
13. 4 sizes in 1 year. so costly |
at 14, he's now 5ft 9. Dad is 5ft 10. |
Omg, my kids never going to grow! He’s nearly 15 and his feet are size 5 or 6. Still not even a hint of puberty. |
Are you seeing an endocrinologist? That is getting to be a little late (and my own DS was very late). |
11-12 years old.
I wonder if shoe size is a good indication of how tall you would grow. |
I don’t have sons, but that was true for my daughters. They went through 3 sizes in 6th grade and then they were done. |
Wow. I better get my money together. Those sizes cost more and Nike is making shoes smaller and smaller. We switched to getting shoes from the adidas outlet and i usually buy ahead. I was going to get some size 6 and 7s but i guess I’ll wait and see if they skip over some sizes. Good question Op! |
