I also doubt many people that have been at the school for some time now are shocked or surprised by this news.

Why do you say that?

and yet Lance Dempsey’s head remains firmly in place.

Being a principal these days seems like an impossible job.

Well, at least she's no longer a direct supervisor of principals and their directors. She's now a "special assistant," not directly supervising anyone, IIRC.

But why bring someone toxic back at all at a time of such low morale among staff? I just don't get it.

McKnight brought Dempsey back. I think there's just a shortage of people overall now, so they decided to keep her in CO to "provide support" in some vague way.

We are a K family at the school. What's the backstory that I'm missing?

Cox is neither a harasser nor a bully.

Hum, these individuals have personal lives, health issues, etc. Has it crossed anyone's mind that they are on leave due to their own accord? The job is stressful one - when teachers go out on leave there isn't such a public, identifying discussion of them and their POSSIBLE circumstance.

There is a lot of harmful speculation on this thread with "maybes" or "I thinks" and no facts. But what's a little fact finding have to do with anything? Geesh!

When the reason is not veiled in “administrative leave” the community always gets a letter explaining why the principal is on leave. For example my friend got a letter stating her daughter’s principal was on leave just last week because the principals father had died. When my son’s admin took extended leave she wrote a letter saying she was pregnant and would be on maternity leave. When there is no reason to hide, the reason is told to the community

Unless the person doesn’t want the reason told. They are under no obligation to reveal their personal business. If you ask question or concerns ask the school. Otherwise stop making baseless assumptions and accusations.

That is true, but her toxic influence will be felt…an unforced error for sure!

I just hope it’s not another health scare.

Correct, not everyone will be forthcoming with their personal issues. Praying that her health is intact.

Not really. Just do your job, be respectful about it , and follow procedures. Ya know, like the teachers and other are supposed to do also. It’s pretty clear
