Wondering what the stats of the deferral are. I will start:

DD has: 4.5W, 34 ACT, leadership, arts and sports, checks all the boxes per our counselor.

DD isn't: legacy, URM, applying for FA

What is unweighted and is it public or private? 4.5 weighted from MCPS would be way too low for NU.

NOVA private. Top 10% of graduating class.

Rejected here, with very strong stats.

What's the background of the new admissions director?

Nope, you’re wrong. Kid at my child’s public got into Dartmouth with a 4.5 weighted. They look at the whole picture.

Has anyone seen any data on early admission Stats this year? Usually they release the number applied, accepted, deferred etc but haven’t seen those numbers yet.

Yes and “coalition for college”…she was never a senior admissions person at any college prior to this role….
Highly focused on “disadvantaged” students.

huh?
She worked at Vermont, Illinois and Arizona State.

NP. Just want to point out that the VP and Dean of Enrollment is not the same person/position as Director of Undergraduate Admissions (Dir of Undergrad Admissions is Liz Kinsley)

Everyone I know that’s gotten in is either (1) full pay private school kids with $$$ or (2) legacy donor (big bucks) kids…
Don’t think they are focusing on that.
