This is SO true! I've lived all over the world (including a year in Lima) and the food is just amazing. I've definitely made the trip for a long weekend just focusing on meals and walking around the funkier neighborhoods. Probably not the most fun for kids. One small thing that isn't really an experience but a tip, is that if you are looking to buy anything (alpaca items in particular.) the place to do it is Lima. The markets around Cuzco are largely China-produced crap or better quality but EXTREMELY overpriced. Lima has a bunch of stores that aren't a total ripoff. Their outdoor markets for other things are also more reasonably priced. |
