and it is indeed gorgeous. I love living just outside of Charlottesville. Almost every drive is beautiful, especially the back roads. i actually enjoy going on shopping runs just to see the leaves turn.

We always say it's in the mountains, or at the base of the mountains. Sounds better than it's in the piedmont.

That website is not based on the official regional map of the state. It seems to be a joint tourism effort by several counties, that doesn’t include Albemarle/ Charlottesville.

Albemarle is officially part of the Piedmont region.


C'ville is in Albermarle county.

Huh? Charlottesville is a city. Albemarle is a county. If you lived in Virginia, you’d know counties and cities are separate.
