It might also be his grandmother's maiden name, but it's a fantasy series for kids. Mice that are knights and live in an abbey. It's where my mind jumped, but for all I know it's not related.

Agree with other poster. He likes the names Lucas / Finn and maybe Jacob, and also likes Alex and Diana. The others are in there to make these names look great by comparison so you’ll pick them. Also why are you doing this before you’ve even conceived. Once there is an actual baby about to be born he isn’t going to be goofing around saying he wants to name the baby Afroditey. Actually the man has a thing for science fiction and comic books. His names are predominantly from those two semi-related genres.

Finn is from Star Wars, Jacob from lots of sources including Stargate SG-1. (George) Lucas from Star Wars. Han (Solo), Bruce (Wayne), Clark (Kent), Eric Redwall (Eric is a character from the Redwall series), and so on.
Scarlet (Johannson), Diana (Prince), Afroditey is a "cutesy" spelling of Aphrodite, Riku is a character from the Japanimation Kingdom Hearts.

Pretty much the entire list is sourced from science fiction, comics or animation.
