What happened to Rodan & Fields fad?

Rodan and Fields created Proactiv over 20 years ago, it was never part of their MLM. They sold their rights to Proactiv around the time they started their different MLM products. I have used Proactiv very regularly since it was created. I've never tried their MLM products even though I had friends try to sign me up.

Proactiv from Amazon has never been counterfeit for me. I used to buy it from the kiosks in the mall and it is identical. What an awesome product if you are prone to acne!

I was just wondering this about Stella and Dot. I guess the boom / bust cycle is really real.

Went the same way (thank god) of LuLaRoe.

If you want to take a fascinating deep-dive on MLMs, listen to season 1 of the podcast “The Dream.” I got the recommendation here on DCUM. It’s 11 episodes, so it’s great for a long car ride. It’s one of the best I’ve heard in a long time.

Season 2 is all about the wellness industry. I haven’t started that yet.

I know someone who does it, although not a friend of mine. The only reason I think she’s still in it is because she somehow made it to the top of the pyramid. I’m always wondering how long this thing will drag out until they completely go under.

They are under. Overpriced stuff which you don't really need.

They’re all real estate agents now. On to the next hustle.

Ah, ok. Proactiv was great for me, too.

I remember several threads on here where people said that the products were really good! Where did those people go? Are they still using it?

You would rarely be able to tell the fake product from the real product of ANY products. They are made in the same place with the same ingredients, but one is subject to government regulations and one isn't.

In addition to it being an MLM that people wised up to, over the past few years people have become much more knowledgeable about skincare, likely due to the proliferation of skincare youtube channels, and the skin care craze during the pandemic. This probably led people to realize that Rodan and Fields was overpriced basic skincare and you can get equally good if not better products at the drug store.
