The values thing sounds like an HR requirement for all job ads. I'd assume the interviewer doesn't know or care.

This. Scheduling so many rounds and holding off the hiring process is a surefire way to lose the best candidates in your pool to other organizations who are better at making a decision.


+1 and then making candidates do assignments/projects/unpaid labor

Ok but this is really a bit lame. Just like anything I put in my resume is fair game to ask about, everything that’s in a job description is fair game to discuss. It’s all a hoax anyway because none of these values were really promoted, which I found out during the conversation.
