Four years ago I took my first driving lesson at the age of 28. |
Same here. |
It's not sad at all. I only remembered because of the specific things that were going on in my life around the world cup games. Don't feed bad. |
4 years ago I was on my first beach trip with DD (18 months old at the time).
Now I have a 5 1/2 year old and a 2 1/2 year old. But other than that, it's like one of the PPs said - same house, same job, same husband. It's all good! |
4 years ago I was watching the world cup from a totally reclined position in bed. I spent that entire summer (3.5 months) on strict bed rest and in and out of the hospital for pre term labor.
The twins from that pregnancy are now almost 4 and are "playing" soccer themselves! Unbelievable how much time has gone bye. Baby #3 arrived this past year with a totally different, complication free pregnancy. |
Four year ago today I was starting my 39th week of pregnancy and don't remember a thing about the World Cup. I do remember my beautiful baby boy was born on a stormy night 2 weeks later. DH was also starting a down swing in regards to his professional career. 4 years later we have an (almost) 4 year old DS and a 16 month old DD. And DH , who I adore, recently started a new job that will really help his career. Thanks for making me think about all the things I have to be thankful for! |
Four years ago I was skipping out at work with my boyfriend and friends to watch the matches. I was obsessing about whether he would propose soon. He did in Oct 06, married in March 07. Since then we've lived overseas, had DS 1, moved back to the DC area, bought a house and are pregant with DS 2. Everything in my life has changed in those 4 years. |
Four years ago, I was working such long hours and traveling so much in big law that I was in town for 1 night during the World Cup, and it was spent crying about the fact that my schedule had messed up my cycle, and thus I didn't know if I would ever be able to get pregnant. My beautiful little girl and government job have improved my life greatly. My husband and I are both so much happier now! |
Four years ago I was happier |
Four years ago I was just about to move to DC for a new job. Since then I met the man of my dreams, lost my beloved father, got married Asia and met my new family, and now I have a beautiful 1 year old baby. |
I love this thread |
Four years ago I was a lot thinner but thought I was fat. |
Four years ago, I was getting ready to deliver DS#2 as I was about 38weeks pregnant. I live in the same house, have same husband, and have since had a DD. My DH lost his job this past April and things are depressing around here right now. I am wishing for happy times again. |
Four years ago DH and I were planning our wedding, and still enjoying 'single' like life going out with friends frequently, getting drunk, and living life to the max. We cheered on the Italians and had a blast with friends we still see often. I sometimes miss the freedom of life before kids, and before we lived in the 'burbs, but love the life I now have with our 2 yr old and are expecting our 2nd in 4 months. |
In 206 I was sitting in a bar watching World Cup soccer. Just like you, OP, only it happened in the opposite corner of the world. Today I'm married to someone else, not to the person I was watching soccer with, living in DC and have a baby who will be turning one soon. And just like you, when people mention World Cup now, I also relive some old memories.. |
