My son is 2 years old, We have been trying to sleep train him for a long time now. I know it is a little too late but I am looking for suggestions on professional help for sleep training. I live in Ashburn and am looking for someone to come home or anything in person. Open to suggestions for help online as well.
Thank you

what exactly is the issue and how will sleep training help you?

I’m here to say “youre not alone!”
The struggle is real for many families!
The lack of sleep of my toddler and failed attempts of training issues has caused more arguments in my marriage, than anything else!
DH would like to let the toddler cry it out and I can’t take it anymore and rather just hold him till he falls asleep! Then he wakes up a few times over night!
Sorry not helping much here, I hope we all find a solution.

Age 2 is too old for cry it out. I'm not anti sleep training, I did it with our 13 month old and it worked great, no regrets. But fixing sleep for an older child is not as simple as just closing the door and letting them cry. For us a big help was moving DD to a bigger bed and putting her in the right pajamas/blankets

NP. That's not helpful at all. You don't even know OP's situation.

We sleep trained three separate times and couldn't get it to stick because our kid is 99th percentile willful (according to a daycare center Director who had seen maybe three or four babies like him over her 20+ years of experience) and a vomiter when he cries.

Good for you that sleep training worked for your kids, but recognize that some kids are just outliers (i.e. super sensitive or super stubbeorn) and it's not any failure to act on the part of the parents.

Thank you for this response, every kid is different. I have seen all kinds and I think no one should be judgemental. Some babies have health issues and they can not be left alone

Dr. Sears thought his patients who were complaining of high maintenance babies were exaggerating until he had one of his own. I think it was like his 6th kid. Only parents of one of these kids would understand.

Exactly!! You train them since very young age. The OP isn’t seeing the big pic here. She’s way to anxious and child senses that.
