Where can I buy duck breast?

Let’s Meat, the butcher on Mount Vernon Ave. in Del Ray, will order fresh Hudson Valley duck breast for you—it’s superb. Probably too late for Thanksgiving, but keep it in mind for Christmas.

Wagshals consistently stocks it (often have to ask for it, at the spring valley shop, as it is in the cooler). Whole Foods is entirely hit or miss (also, if you order online, it's really hit or miss, as they sell it in 1# increments and the packages are usually 2 breast pieces and around 1.25# and if you select 2# you'll get one package, so to get two packages (4 pieces) you often have to select 3 or 4#). Wegmans also has duck, (can instacart it).
