My city finally got a Trader Joe's! What should I get?

Just don’t get too used to anything, they discontinue things all the time.

Frozen soup dumplings. Any frozen meals, frozen pizza, frozen deserts.

Tomatoes
Bagged salads
Chicken
Cheeses
Humus
Snap peas
pita chips

Definitely trail mix cheapest and the best

A lot of their food is too salty. That said, there are some really delicious things.

Pizza dough
Cookie butter
Southwest salad
I always find their avocados superior to the ones at our grocery store
The all-beef meatballs
Chicken tacos
Everything But the Bagel seasoning
Vanilla or seasonal Jo-Joes

I think this PP meant Zhoug sauce. Definitely get the Zhoug sauce, especially if you like spicy. Also nearby should be the garlic spread/dip. So good. These are both middle eastern sauces but you can put them on anything.

Also awesome:
sparking strawberry juice drink
stuffed grape leaves in a can
steamed lentils in a vacuum pack, usually near the produce
sunflower seed butter
handmade flour tortillas
carnitas
black bean and quinoa tortilla chips
frozen wild sockeye salmon
macarons in the freezer section near ice cream

You should also join the Facebook group called Trader Joe's Meal ideas for Busy People. People usually post about new and seasonal items there and that's where I learned about half the stuff in my list above!

Anything. Seriously, everything is good- just a matter of personal taste.

I got majority of my groceries there. My favorites are the salted almond butter, Valencia salted peanut butter, vanilla ice cream, mini ice cream cones, berries, nuts, dried fruits.

I don’t get much frozen or prepared foods but the items I do get and like are the blueberry frozen waffles (kids), soy chorizo, mini pizzas (kids), frozen packages of plain pre cooked brown rice.

Frozen Indian food for when a new dinner recipe goes horribly wrong. Saved us last night after tossing the new recipe right in the trash.

Frozen french onion soup, frozen Asian round pot sticker like item (can't remember the name) There is a Facebook community where people share recipes and items they love.
