Husband sighs frequently

That's funny. I sometimes go through periods of excessive sighing but am not sure why. For a while I thought it might be a medication side effect but I can't really remember any more. Tiredness is definitely a factor.

I’m sitting in my couching, enjoying a Friday afternoon beverage and becoming increasingly aware of my sighing. I’ve done it twice. 😳

Maybe he developed a tic? My dad used to clear his throat a lot (post nasal drip) but he continued after allergy seasons ended.

Let’s be clear: almost anything can be a sign of an underlying condition. That being said, I tend to sigh more when I have a lot going on and I’m thinking about things. I don’t need to be stressed for it to happen - just mentally going over things.

I do this when my asthma flares. I guess it is my body's way of trying to get more oxygen.

I’m asthmatic and do the same when I am having issues breathing.
