Nope never happens. Only gets lighter. If you get a toner it will slowly wash out. You may need corrective color. Call the owner immediately and express your disappointment!!

Tip her 80 bucks, then call back and talk to receptionist and tell her you’re unhappy with results. Ask stylist to put in some low lights and a darker toner. I would not make a big deal by getting owner involved unless original stylist balks at fixing. The teasing thing while coloring is common, but odd that after shampoo and conditioner it was painful to get combed out. Obviously new stylist for next time.

Disagree. I would not go back to the same stylist who didn't listen the first time and with whose work you're unhappy. Since you usually see the owner, call and explain. They should fix it.

I respectfully disagree with this take- there are often adjustments needed with color, it is not like she did some terrible, rushed hack job. I would discuss with stylist like an adult instead of running to tattletale to Mum. At least give the previous stylist the opportunity to fix (which is fairly straightforward), if she is resistant I would escalate to owner.

I don’t tip hairdressers!! Tipping was set up because hair dressers did not get paid a lot but charging $100 an hour is not the same as $25 an hour is it? Most of these hairdressers pay $400 a week for rent they don’t have to pay that rent by doing one head of hair. A hairdresser is an important position but you are not a doctor. $100 an hour!!! NO TIP
