How to get DH to stop swearing

Time to wash his mouth out with soap.

My husband tries, God bless him, but there are times when they just come pouring out. The one thing DS has repeated (he's 4), was something her heard from a movie DH was watching (didn't know DS was in the playroom). They were in the car, DH asked DS if he was excited to go to the park, and DS replied, "Go f*ck yourself"...

We chuckle about it, but DS knows he shouldn't say it even if daddy slips, which DS then promptly exclaims to him to put $5 in the jar. We almost have enough for weekend getaway!

My mother, who grew up in Brooklyn, had a similar potty mouth issue. When my sister was 3, a bird went to the bathroom on her, and she spent the next two months telling everyone she met about the "bird shit." My mom cleaned up her act pretty quickly after that.

Finally, DD took a swing at DW, so DW said, "Go 'f' yourself" and took a "mommy time-out".. With DD crying upstairs and DW crying downstairs, DW called down mournfully, "I don' wanna go f*** myself!"

We laugh now, but I'm glad I was out at the time...
