neso tent google beach gear guy review
neso tent wins every time the shibumi is too loud but i agree the good old umbrellas are the best along with a sand anchor but can be a pain if it doesn't come in two parts. I had mine for 10 year but it got rusty so i tried the neso tent and have been happy |
We love our Shibumi because it is lightweight, easy to put up and take down, and takes up minimal space in transport. Agree, however, that it does not function without a steady wind. |
Speaking on behalf of a family of pasty people, the more shade the better. I’m not lugging around 3 old school umbrellas when 1 foldable shade can cover us all. Sadly my local beach only allows the old school umbrellas. Part of the reason we don’t go often. |
Which beach doesn’t allow them? |
Myrtle, Rehobeth and Bethany per their website |
You googled? |
No I’m op and saw it on their website in FAQs when I was looking at them earlier. |
+1 and I am not someone who would spend money on this. |
Look at Cool Cabanas. I can set it up solo and uses sand for weight. Never has blown away. Cute stripe patterns too! |
Go for the Shibumi Mini, a great compromise

We have a Neso -- it does sometimes come down in a heavy wind. The primary attraction for me is packability -- I can pack it in my suitcase, which I can't do with a beach umbrella! |
