The shortage has been building for weeks, it’s not a this week thing. What you’re probably seeing is that all the distributers have shipped out the last of their existing stock so there was no replenishment yesterday. |
I have an Enfamil NeuroPro Gentlease that I can sell, it expires 8/2022. My baby does not take formula now. I live in College Park. |
Same problem with finding gentle ease too. We tried a new formula which my baby doesn’t like as much and we have many more months of this to go sigh |
This is hilarious. So…Any fact you don’t like is “a Fox News talking point”. Meanwhile, there are literal empty shelves where formula should be. Honestly, it’s now the left that has gone completely nutso. |
Yes, I saw formula on the shelves months ago, so it's definitely not true that they're running out now. |
Here's what I would do if your kid doesn't have major health problems that require alimentum, etc. -- diversify your risk. Get them used to several different brands/generics. That way you know you're not dependent on a certain brand being in stock. |
And as people see empty shelves they are more likely to buy that extra can if they have the money. I had a preemie who was on neosure and I definitely would have stocked up. |
This is really freaking me out. We have an infant under 3 months and still need to use the liquid so options are limited. Do we think anything can be done to increase supply? |
I should add I cannot breastfeed and truly wish I could. |

You are everything that’s wrong with this country. |
+1 Everyone I know who has an infant is struggling to get formula |
Are these things related? Why can't you use the powdered formula? Genuinely wondering, as I'm far past the baby years and have forgotten the rules. |
I believe it’s because the liquid is sterile so it’s a safety thing. Didn’t know about this for my older child either. |
This is OP. Thank you so much! My SIL was able to find me a couple of cans today morning so we are good for a month and a half Definitely check your local moms groups. There are a lot of desperate moms out there looking for formula. Many with very little supply left! |
