Sleepover sleeping arrangements

Beyond covid, where it would be a no for us, my kid wouldn't want to come back if you couldn't do an air mattress or something else. You and your kids sleep in a bed while the guest sleeps on the floor. No.

Sometimes but not often. My kids have been to a few like this and honestly, they don’t care. Most often it’s my daughter when it’s someone’s birthday and there are 10 girls there.

Usually there are air mattresses. We bought two for this reason. My son and his friends usually sleep on the recliners in the rec room and bean bag chairs instead. DD and friends use the air mattresses.

not PP, but when DD has a sleep over she's in the basement in a sleeping bag with her guests. Friends whose houses she goes to are the same- everyone in the same room in sleeping bags

My 10 and 12 yr old are totally fine with sleeping bags on the floor.

I have 3 kids and we had 2 over for a sleepover. They all slept in the basement in sleeping bags. I have a couple of those super plush heavy Korean blankets. I layed those on the carpet as a little extra padding for them to sleep on top of. Everyone seemed happy and they were all together.

Nuggets are good too. They can provide two sleeping pads to sleep on top of.

Refuse. The party bags and baloons and get air mattresses.

Do you throw them out after or where do you store them? 8 air mattresses take up a lot of space even deflated.

We host a lot of boy sleepovers (teens and tweens) and they definitely sleep on the floor sometimes. There is a sectional couch with a foldout, and a separate foldout in the next room (all in the basement) but when those fill up, some boys will sleep on the floor. We don't dictate who sleeps where but they've never had an issue figuring it out for themselves.

Sleeping bags on kid’s floor. Don’t overthink this.

When my daughters cousins stay we put a twin fitted sheet on an ikea tumbling mat, unfolded enough to make a tiny pillow at the top but also so three girls mats and get into one bedroom. Either they bring a sleeping bag for the top of I just give them blankets and pillows. In the morning the tumbling mats go back to the basement…

Are people really buying multiple air mattresses for sleepovers? That is insane.

If one person is sleeping over, an air mattress in your child’s room is reasonable. 2+ people and the correct answer is everyone sleeps in basement in sleeping bags, bring own pillow

I’m planning on hosting a team sleepover with 9 girls. We have two guest rooms but in different parts of the house so it’s not practical. Our basement is carpeted and has a big open space so we plan on sleeping bags on the floor. My kids have been to sleepovers on hard floors with just their sleeping bags too, no big deal.
