Any more feedback on Super Sonic Sport Performance? Looks like just one person?

There is "prepare for Performance" in maryland.

Personally, YouTube this and have your kid train in their back yard or close by park/field. If your kid is serious they will self motivate and train. If not, you’re throwing money out the window. Just my opinion.

Unsupervised and improper training can cause injuries. Proper training technique is key for youths, unless you’re just talking about simple things such as jump ropes, sit-ups, etc.

Same thought. Some of these recs are feeling very spammy.

I am the 21:34 poster, I signed up after attending the free group trial session. I found it really helpful to actually do a session before committing. You can go the same route and see if your child likes it.

True, but I don’t want to do that. If I can afford to pay someone to do it, why shouldn’t I? I used to train people on the side and I have absolutely no qualms paying a good professional to train my kids and ensure all the stuff they’re already doing on their own is done properly and safely. If someone is looking for a trainer, it’s likely bc a kid wants more structure/challenges on top of what they’re already doing. To your point, an unmotivated kid will not improve or be more likely to do more just bc they have a trainer.

Agreed. If you have the money and time to get them there and they are self motivated, then go for it. Properly and safely are good criteria. Let us know if you find a good trainer.

My DS's soccer coach recommended Super Sonic Sport Performance for S&A as an alternative to soccer or futsal for winter training. Looks like there is a winter program starting on Dec 4. Leaning towards signing DS up. Anyone else doing this?

At what age do athletes (generally) start this kind of training?

Would love to hear other's thoughts on this. My kid started when he was around 9 when kids in his team and opponents are getting faster and more rough/physical.

One of the very best strength exercises you can do and it technically can be considered a plyometric us…..sprinting. So you tell me. How old are most kids when they start sprinting? 😄. But it’s never too young to start. Strength training does not stunt growth. Does not make you bulky.

There is PR Performance in Annandale and Peak Performance in Loudoun.

What ever happened to that performance trainer from Rockville that was on the forum a lot? Did he get cancelled for self advertising too much?
