Why don’t I feel gross after eating Chick Fil A?

I got the breakfast cute little biscuit sandwich things and they were crap. There’s nothing higher end about CFA. Pure marketing.

I feel "contaminated" after eating BK, KFC, and to a lesser extent McDs and Wendy's which is why I only eat at those places if I am in a rush, really hungry, and need to eat right quick. But like you, I never feel gross with CFA.
I believe it has to do with the ketchup/mayonnaise mixture they put on burgers, and for KFC it's the reused grease to fry the chicken. I don't eat at Tanko Hell so I don't know about them.

I once brought a BK burger home and I took one bite but had to spit it out. The ketchup/mayo mess on the burger was rancid. I threw the burger out in the back yard and even the flies would not touch it which made me think, "If flies won't eat it, what kind of toxic foul substance are they using?" I do my very best to avoid eating at these places. It may very well explain why cancer seems to be more common these days than in the 1800s.


Yeah, sure, cancer prevalence has nothing to do with the fact that we can actually detect cancer now. 🙄

+1. I don't feel gross after eating it either. In fact, it is the only fast food our family eats. I do think it is better quality.

It's deep fried chicken, on a bun full of preservatives and made with vegetable oil (not butter), and then slathered with a sauce made from soybean oil. It's artery-clogging garbage, so of course you feel gross and probably have a slight tummy ache after all that oil, grease and salt.

Their marketing "hook" is the stores are clean, efficient, and they have high-ish employee standards.

Because your subconscious biases and outright neuroses tell you to feel bad after eating McDonald's and Burger King because they're "poor people" restaurants, while Chick Fil A cultivated an image of clean cut southern white kids in polos saying it's "my pleasure" to help you so you associate it with being good.

The exact same reason you don't feel bad eating a 3,000 calorie meal in a French restaurant despite the fact that there is a pound of butter and a pint of cream in your dish but I guarantee you would feel "gross" after eating the same amount of fat and calories in a soul food restaurant.

Chick fil a cooks everything fresh in house. This is why they are so much tastier than the reheated frozen food places.

There’s no sauce. Just a filet on a bun. You choose whether or not to put a sauce on. Clearly, you haven’t eaten there

I feel crappy after eating CFA too OP.
In fact, my dh and I just had CFA and both had diarrhea the next day. So it happens. I rarely eat any fast food and usually have the same reaction no matter what I eat.

Nope. the main reason why cancer is more prevalent is that life expectancy is longer, and most cancers (not all, but most) increase in incidence with age.

We all die of something. If it's not malnutrition, infection, injury, or something like that, it's going to be more and more likely to be cancer as you get older and older.

JFC, at my chik fil a in Baltimore southern black people take orders for the food. And they wear polo shirts too! Imagine that. You are a racist.
