Love loved it! Warily checked it out then watched it like it was my job. Great character development. People you can root for but also imperfect. Moral choices and twisty ending! Want season two yesterday!!! |
This show is insane!!! |
The dubbing is actually pretty good for dubbing. (But then I grew up on the old Japanese monster movies, so maybe I have a tolerance.)
The short description is that a bunch of people in dire financial straits are recruited/kidnapped to play kids games. They don't know the consequences until the first game, red light green light. You move on a red light, you get shot. A lot of money is at stake. The game runners are mysterious, masked figures with motivations that are murky. |
You watch and you are like "man this is so effed up" but then you are like, ohhh, what happens next and where will this end. Great ending too IMHO. |
Is it weird for me to say this? Koreans are stunning. The lead actress + lead actors + cameo(s) are all so good-looking it's unreal, and not in the "they got plastic surgery" way. |
Not weird. But I don’t see it at all. I didn’t think anyone was stunning or really even all that attractive. |
Just chiming in to say HOLY SMOKES this show is good! |
Really good but slightly disappointed about one aspect of the shows ending. |
Wi Ha-Joon is a hottie. He was in Romance is a Bonus Book on Netflix. https://www.marieclaire.com/culture/a37776856/who-is-wi-ha-joon-squid-game-netflix/ |
I'm watching it to see if it's something my MS kid can handle. All of the kids at school are talking about it and watching it at school.
He said he's seen some and it was "fine, mom, I know it's fake!" |
Lee Byung-hun is so handsome, especially for his age. |
Sorry. Not for me. His hair looks like it was cut with a bowl. |
The main actress. If cheekbones could kill...

The main actor is pretty famous in Korea as a well-known leading man type. ![]() |
I don't recognize him in the show |
