I’m tired and in a rut too and anything outside my rut causes me dread.

I haven't really kept up with anything like that, but I'm trying to work in a short, local Friday AM hike most weeks in October.

I would love to hike alone but it freaks me a bit tbh.

Me too! Ive been unemployed due to the pandemic since Sept… i start a new job oct 1! Yay! I feel like i wasted the pandemic. Gained weight. Didnt read lots of books. Didnt learn new skills. I fid start relearning my instrument from high school, which has been an unexpected joy. I have two tweens, both of whom were in distance learning, and i kept the house comfortable and functioning. Im not a great housekeeper or SAHM and the family needed my income. Im going to test out my theory that ill be better at maximizing my free time.

Pp above— i meant to say Ill be better at maximizing my free time when Im working as opposed to when I literally had nothing to do. Cant wait to feel like myself again!

I got a fancy exercise bike.
I got a cheaper mini stepper.
I buy fresh flowers a few times a month.
I set a goal of reading a certain number of books by the end of the year.
In two weeks, I’m going to have a lovely week at a hotel I love.

I’m cleaning my patio and replanting some shrubs. It’s good to see progress.

Even I could manage ten minutes. Recommendations, please!!

"You can't control that life is unfair. You can control how you respond to it. Choose to find what brings you joy."

I love this. I'm stealing it.
