Wire transfer. How long (once complete) does it take to get to the recipient?

That does seem long. We wired three different accounts at one time and they were all received by the end of the business day. This was in July of this year.

I own a fairly large title company. We receive and send about 1,000 wires per month.

From when the wire is actually sent it takes maybe 1-2 minutes to be received at most.

The key is from when actually sent. Many banks don’t send them when they tell you they have approved them. Often they mean that it has been approved to send it to a back office that will need approval to send to the wire room that will need approval from a supervisor before it can sent.

If the senders bank can provide a federal reference number it was received. If they cannot provide it, it hasn’t actually been sent yet.

If it was sent to and from a large commercial bank same or next day. If it was to/from a small bank that needs to use a larger 3rd party bank to accept then reroute the wire 2-3 days. You should probably call your bank and see what's going on.
