This is probably unusual but my son wants to wear pj shorts to bed, but I don't see a lot of them for kids his age. So, I bought him a pack of regular boxers, which he wears like pj shorts, with underwear.
I buy soft tagless tshirts from Old Navy or Walmart. |

| Either full PJs or shorts and t-shirt. He's 6. Sometimes he wears socks to bed. I just shrug and let him do whatever he wants at night but I do insist on "real clothes" (no athletic wear, no huge logos) for school. |

| That’s the age you can start switching to flannel style pajama pants. My son wears them with the collection of oversized tee shirts all kids seem to end up with. |

| I dress them after their evening shower in what they are wearing the next day - either elastic waist mesh shorts or athletic pants and a t-shirt. My boys are 8 and 10 and we’ve done this for 5 years or so. |

| Pjs. Wide leg bottoms only. He's 10 now and if it's hot will just wear the PJ bottoms or boxer briefs. |

| Our boys (6 and 10) wear their regular underwear (boxers) without shirts. I don't think that they would even consider wearing actual pajamas. |

| Boxer shorts and undershirt like their dad. Boys are 7, 5 and 3 and the three year old insisted he would only wear boxers and undershirt since he was out of pull ups. So cute! |
