FCPS Full day K in all schools

Anonymous
I heard the budget got approved and over the next 3 years more and more schools will ave full day K with the goal of all schools having gull day K within 3 years. Anyone know which new schools will have full day K next year and the year after? How do they decide? Can the county afford this?

I don't know which schools will get it first, but its not in the budget for next year. I understand that the administration is thinking of cutting non-teaching services to fund it (teacher's aides, etc.)

The ADVERTISED budget was approved, which essentially means nothing. The Board of Supervisors has yet to set the transfer amount (the amount of money that FCPS will receive from the County) so nothing is known until May. It is arguably not set in stone whatsoever, and no additional schools will be funded for full-day K.
