Taylor's Swift's new album - let's GOOOOO

She’s less than a year away from wrapping a tour that grossed over $2.2 billion. She has a big audience. People are going to buy things and people are just going to stream through their subscriptions.

I guess we all have different algorithms, but I’m still seeing a lot of dances to fate of Ophelia and it’s been well over a month. I also pretty regularly listen to Sirios when I’m driving and the pop station is playing a fair amount of new Taylor.

I personally don’t think this is her best album but to say that it’s not doing well or people aren’t enjoying it is just weird.

+1
You know the usual trolls are bitter about her success when they actually claim “there’s no catchy hit” on this album. I mean, come on. I like a few of the songs on this album but agree it’s not her best. But “The Fate of Ophelia”? That’s going to win Song of the Year, no doubt. And then the trolls will sulk, as usual. Rinse and repeat. They’re like sad clowns.

It’s so weird to make a hobby out of hating someone or something. Did social media create this kind of “personality”? What a waste of one’s time.

I’ve never bought any TS merch and I couldn’t name even 5 of her songs prior to this release, but I know this entire album by heart now. It’s catchy. If you hate it, listen to something else. No one wants or needs your opinion.

Taylor should not have written a song referencing MTS then.

MTS is on topic.

Doesn’t matter. Her album is mostly forgotten at this point. Too bad she can’t get along with her past producer, Joe Alwyn.

If she acts at the next Grammys like she did at the last Grammys, I feel bad for all involved.

It’s forgotten because there are no catchy hit songs. Sure, she milked her crazies to buy all the variants of the album to juke the charts, but there are zero great songs for casuals to want to replay over and over.

Gosh, are you sure? I’m a “casual” and replay five of her new songs over and over. And of course, TFOO is still #1, for the 5th week in a row.

Oh no! Not Queen MTS supposedly referenced in a song! This is the best thing that happened to her all year.

Seriously.

Yes. And I am sure Charli xcx loved being compared to a dog!

There is even a Christmas ornament from Taylor Swift of the dog in a purse. It’s a deal. Better get one now before they sell out!

I bet Taylor meant calling her a dog
as a compliment!!

Taylor is soooo amazing and such a genius!

This album is disgusting. Swift is a Trojan horse to spew degeneracy to teen girls. Same as that even more vile Sabrina Carpenter and her pivot to pure smut.

Pure Smut would make a great punk band name.

I love how you take notes and keep scores about all these supposed disses. How many times do you have to listen to the songs to pick up on all of them? Meanwhile Taylor laughs all the way to the bank on suckers like you.

See, only someone who is obsessed over TS and spends tons of time down TS rabbit holes would even know this. Crazy haters are so much worse than her fans!

Then maybe Charli shouldn’t have high fived her ex and written a song about how it makes her sick to see her face? Charli got the attention she wanted.

I’m a casual swifty and am so surprised to see people defending this album so strenuously. Like any album she drops will be successful because she’s Taylor swift that doesn’t mean it is any good. Every song is like a worse version of something else she’s already done.

Except few posters are doing that. People are saying the album is not doing well, it’s failing, it was a flop. I think the album was fine, not her best, but objectively not a flop. It is doing well. I don’t care if people like the album or not but it’s weird when people try to just paint a different reality.

Funny that you are surprised to see people defending her, but you aren’t surprised at a bunch of random people who don’t like her or listen to her keep trying to convince everyone that the album is failing. It’s just weird.

You batshit crazies treat critics of her music as attacks on you personally. THAT is weird.

+100

It’s honestly insane. You can’t even say you are a fan of hers in general but you don’t like this particular album without them implying that you’re a secret Taylor hater.

I’m a Swiftie and seriously hated this album when it first came out. I still prefer her previous 4 albums by a lot but when I went to tell someone the few songs I liked I realized I kept listing them until I had covered 8 or 9. So it completely grew on me.

People, it’s art. It’s subjective. Relax.
