Help! If you had my problems who would you see?

I have a slight scoliosis, limited mobility in my neck, pain and weakness in my shoulder and a scapula that doesn't move the way it's supposed to. I've been to several orthopedic surgeons and fortunately, none of them look at anything except my shoulder. They can't seem to comprehend that it is a multifaceted issue. Would you see a chiropractor or an osteopath? I've been with a PT for awhile and she's done what she can for me. I'm a lot stronger now but I seem to have hit a plateau and I'm not getting any better. I really want to be able to throw a ball and do other things with my right arm.

I suppose you saw a general practitioner already? Would they refer you to a really good specialist? It seems as if there could be multiple causes for what you have, so only a conscientious doctor will have the follow-through to explore all the possibilities.

You could also try regular yoga - the poses and movements are not the same as what a PT would do, and maybe it will strengthen and tone you enough to eliminate some pains so that you can narrow the problem down.

I might check with a neurosurgeon who specializes in the spine.
