is Kent Garden ES still taking kids from Westgate day care at Mclean?

I am thinking about enrolling my son at Westgate day care so he could get into the Kent Garden, a much better ES than where our address belongs to. I heard that after you get into the Kent Garden, you could drop out of Westgate day care and seek other after school cares and the school will not kick you out. could any parents share your experience on this matter? thanks!
