What do you think about the Marshall Road ES ?

| I read this in internet: "...Teachers and admin is very defensive when parents try to be involved with their children's education..." Can you talk to me about this School? I will move the next year. Thanks. |

| There was a whole thread devoted to this school in the past couple of weeks. It's still on the front page - a few threads down. You can read about Marshall Road there. My two kids go there, and we are very happy. The principal is great - always knows me and my children when we go there for activities. We have had great teachers (although there are a couple of duds, I've heard, but I think that's the case with any school). I have never had a problem with the administration here, but that doesn't mean others don't. The PTA is very strong - there are many after school and before school activities. We have been quite satisfied. If you are local, I'm sure they'd be happy to give you a tour. |

In Vienna, Marshall Road is middle of the road. Not the best, not the worst. Maybe just good and solid. |

| Why does this ES keep coming up??There are a gizillion ES in VA and this one seems to pop up (and have lengthy discussions) all the time (or so it seems). |

Maybe because it's such an unknown school in a generally nice area. |

| I think because it's near the Vienna Metro. A lot of people move to the area and move into the condos and apartments there that feed into Marshall Road. That's my guess anyway. |
