With all of this discussion about some elementary schools being better than others (for example, one scores an 8 on greatschools; another scores a 5), I am wondering if there really is much of a difference in the amount and type of learning going on. Or if it is just a product of one school having "better" demographics. So if you are a middle school teacher (or maybe even a high school teacher), do you see much disparity among your students coming from different elementary schools. Is there an overwhelming feeling of "wow these kids from Haynes school seem much better prepared than the kids from Bertrand school"? Just curious if any middle school teachers or higher have any insight or feeling about this.
