Would you take a hpt?

| Can't wait till Monday for my beta. Triggered Monday the 29th, 11 days ago. If I took a hpt now is there any change of a false neg/pos? Should I just wait? I usually do but I have a good feeling about this one... |

| I don't think there's much chance of a false positive, but a false negative is definitely a concern. I'd wait (and use first morning urine when you do test). |

| I had similar timing to you OP over the summer. My beta was also on Monday and I tested the Friday night prior. I wanted to get the news- for better or for worse- at home with my husband. |

| I always test before so I am prepared for the news. Four times and it has been right every time. |

That said, it's hard to wait. I find that I build up a lot of anxiety and break down and take an hpt just for the relief of doing it. But even when it's negative I try to convince myself that it was too early and the results aren't to be trusted until the re confirms it. So far it hasn't lied, but I haven't had a positive test yet either to test the false negative. |
