Cross post re: Belle View Elementary vs. St. Mary's

We are new to the area and just moved into the Belle View Elementary school district in Alexandria, Virginia. We are considering Belle View Elementary and St. Mary's for our son who will start kindergarten next fall. Does anyone have an opinion (good, bad, ugly) on either school? Are there other websites or forums we should investigate? Thanks!

People seem quite happy with St. Mary's.

Are you a parishoner with regular Mass attendance? It can be tough to get a spot for people who aren't parishoners (and even for parishoners who are outside the parish boundaries), or for people who aren't active in some capacity. They guage involvement on weekly contributions -not the dollar amount, but the fact that you are physically there participating on Sundays.

I went to Belle View, and grew up to be relatively normal, but since I graduated from high school (West Potomac) in 1990, you can imagine how long ago elementary school was.
