Does anyone have any recommendations for a TOP plastic surgeon in the area for implants?
I also would love to hear about your experience if you've had the surgery. Particularly if you had it done prior to pregnancy. I am definitely going to get it done and I know I should probably wait until I'm done having kids, but I have such small breasts to begin with that I'm wondering if it will even matter. How can augmented breasts sag post-pregnancy if there is hardly any natural breast tissue to begin with? |
I had mine done pre-pregnancy with Dr. Olding at GW. He did a fantastic job. I had no trouble BFing and now that I weaned, my breasts dont sag at all.
I was a 34A, went to a 34C and was a 36D/DD during and after pregnancy. I am now a 36D. |
Did you do saline or silicone? They acually recommend silicone for people who are slender and have small breast to begin with. I'm very flatchested and am thin, so I'm considering silicone. After DC, my breasts did get smaller, but they didn't sag at all since there isn't really enough to sag, sadly. They don't even look deflated (just tiny) which is why I'm considering getting it done before I have another baby. It sounds like your breasts didn't get smaller after kids, pp. But it's good to know that they didn't sag. |
I used saline but I am not super thin. I just felt saline were safer, as did Dr. Olding. |
this is covered under beauty forum- you'll find more answers there |

I would say this is a good representation of my situation. (example 4 from Olding's website) Thin, but broad shouldered, and flat but not saggy breasts. |
No way would I get it done. Especially prior to pregnancy. OP, you need to do more research. |
Wow. I don't understand why the woman in that example got implants, she looked great beforehand and no sagginess whatsoever. Her smaller breasts seemed to fit her slim figure. The post-op photo is just kind of plastic-y looking. |
They made my skinny SIL look flat. IMO small breasts are "in." |
Sorry *fat* not flat! |
I know and I'm doing my research now. I plan on having a few consultations and would like to get some recs for good doctors. I have a lot of reasons for wanting to have them done prior to another pregnancy. For one, I'm not working right now but I will be soon and having a surgery and recovering with one baby and no job isn't that bad compared to having a toddler, an infant, and a full time job. I was wondering if, since I'm so flat to begin with, if it would even matter. I've been looking online and apparently people with implants sag less after pregnancy than people with naturally larger breasts. To 9:27--I'm afraid of this. But I would take looking all around "fuller" than feeling like I look like a 12 year old boy. |
loved Dr Roger Oldham at Shady Grove and Sibley...very very happy...had them done about 5 years ago pre baby and they look amazing post babies...and I breastfed. |
Honestly, they are incredibly aging in most women. Especially if you have ANY sun damage on your chest. Very Housewives of whatever (yes, I am referencing the bravo channel).
Think of when you are 60 years old. Do you really want to be dealing with implants (replacement, etc)? Ugh. |
For those of you with implants, doesn't it make your breasts feel really tight like they're going to explode? The photos referenced above all have that look to me. My breasts were so uncomfortable when I was nursing, I couldn't stand how full they felt. I don't think I could take that 24/7 for the rest of my life. That said, I really hate being flat chested. |
21:49 PP here. I never experienced them feeling tight, like they were going to explode. 99% of the time I totally forget I have them. They took some getting used to, especially before the swelling went down, but they never feel tight or uncomfortable anymore. I breastfed 2 kids for 12 months each with no problems. I had mine inserted under the muscle with the incision on the bottom of the breast. That gives a more natural look, so you dont get that fake curve on top. I will probably have to get them redone in 10 years or so, but I probably would have wanted some work done after kids/BFing anyways (based on what I see of my friends). They make me and DH really happy and balance my body out well. I was previous a size 4 on top and an 8-12 pants/skirt. Now I am an hourglass. |
