For the under 40 yr olds making 100-300k what do you do?

Wow either I suck or I am underpaid. But in all fairness I am far from being top 10% in my field.

38, Statistician, 94k, NYC.......However excellent health benefits, 30 vacation days per year.

You probably work for an international organization or in the public sector. 94k is low for a Statistician in NYC unless you recently changed career. I am an entry level data scientist and make 106k here in VA....

A lot of excellent engineers and software people I know have a degree in physics or math.
