Wow “Virgin River” is so bad! Like 1980’s Lifetime bad

I cant believe I jst hate watched the third season. The plot lines are hokey, the acting is terrible. Mel and Jack have the chemistry of wet noodles. And the whole Hope in a coma is just dumb. I also hate Lizzie and Ricky.

Yeah, the Ricky character annoys me. And Mel is always wrapping her arms around Jack’s neck and lacing her fingers together, in the exact same way every time.

I find Jack pretty unattractive, which makes it harder to watch because I'm like "just dump him, Mel!" He's just an average looking middle aged dude with a lot of emotional baggage, a fear of commitment, and a custody battle on the way. Team Preacher.

And my husband mentioned his surprise that this show has so many middle aged and older characters - most of them women, at that! - too bad they are killing them off.

Also Team Preacher. Jack was cuter in season one. He looks kind of tired and grungy now.

Also regarding Charmaine-- the lack of belly growth is just absurd. Weeks, if not months have passed.

I just finished! What's up with these slow Netflix shows that finally get interesting in the last few episodes of a season until a giant Cliffhanger??

Dead to me
And now virgin River.

I think I believe Brady didn't shoot Jack. What do you think? Do you think he's being set up by the good cop guy?

Will Connie hit Wes's twin brother over the head with a frying pan or something?

Paige's friend, was she ever an actual friend? Or was she always with Wes brother?

How could Mel just walk in to the doctor on the spur of the moment and get an embryo transfer? Does it really work that way? No hormone prep? No clue how that works, but it seems like very fast timing. I'm mad at how selfish her sister was, encouraging her to make a major life decision while realing from a major breakup.

Annoyed that I watched and annoyed at these characters. But I still want answers!

Yeah, it's weird. Also weird that Jack has no care for Charmaine during her pregnancy but completely dotes on Mel during hers. I'm over him.

I'm a few eps in and it hasn't been questioned, but I suspect it's coming. Maybe none of these babies will end up being Jack's!
