Debbi Spielberg and Drew Morrison can now differentiate themselves from Julie as not having overseen a disastrous policy process. Now, Debbi is Marc Elrich's right hand person, so she kinda bears some responsibility for how awful his terms have been.

But Drew Morrison is looking like a good option for that district right now. District 1 people don't want their schools messed with.

Taylor is blaming the BOE for this. He tells parents that he didn't want to do boundary studies or program analysis, but the BOE made him do it.

No one made him do anything. They needed to redo the boundaries but they didn't need an expensive outside firm who doesn't know the county to do it.

I don't understand why MCPS is insisting that their money pit proposal that worsens inequity is the only solution.

For changes this big and costly, multiple proposals should be welcome, RFP-style, and the community actively involved in a careful, methodical, transparent process.
