We did in the fall, good sessions, good coaching, good facilities and good pool of players participating. If you are looking for extra good practice it is worth it.

What age is your kid? What league, club and team do they play for?

Those are details would help us understand your subjective “good.”

If a kid is at a club like Villareal in NOVA, DC RDS will look like La Masia.

Older group U13-U15: various clubs in MLSN2, ECNL RL/NL.

Hello! Just trying to get a feel for what to expect with the winter session. It sounds like each location's tryouts have spots for 50 kids in each age group, and about 20 are selected. Does that sound about right?

Got accepted into the Downtown winter program. 7yo (2018) boy plays u9 and u10 for DCSC's silver squads that play in the NCSL. He tried out for the fall program, even though it's for 8yo+, because he typically plays up and didn't make it. I was impressed with the competition, but seems like it may vary season to season and location to location. Will update on the program, 1st practice is Dec 8th

There were not that many kids at the downtown tryout for winter. Enough to run a program but my guess is they didn’t cut anyone.

Tryout is free and then it's $350. Just a money grab... young kids should play pickup and just have fun doing what they love. A dumb DC United jersey isn't going to make them better.

I would have taken this more seriously it it wasn’t 350. Just imagine how much money they are taking in from this
