OP here. I am not recommending this to anyone, but as for myself, I am far from frail, I feel and look great, my labs are fantastic and I am looking forward to my walks every day. I am no more completely invisible and I just fit comfortably into my size 28 jeans that I haven't worn in 15 years. I can suddenly climb many stairs and steep hills easily where I used to struggle with a floor or two.

I experienced exactly zero pain over the past 5 months. I was always good at walking, could walk long distances where people who were much more fit would complain - I just wasn't doing it enough and consistently. When I reach my goal weight I plan to maintain at least 20k steps, though to be honest, on days when I only do that much (e.g. travel etc), I feel like I want to walk more.

You are not walking "30,000" steps a day.

Absolutely possible!! I do it all the time. Walk with intention in the morning.. desk job during the day but up for walk breaks occasionally... evening walk after dinner. At least 30k steps a day. And no it did not take me 4 hours.

OP here. how long have you been doing it? so many people think it's impossible but actually have nurmous 40k days and some 50k... that's when I really have some free time.

TROLL STOP LYING

is it possible to upload photos? I would love do show you a few screenshots. today I walked 26k and barely noticed. I also walked 20 minutes on 18% incline and had an hour of strength training with my trainer. I understand your disbelief, sometimes I can't believe this happened to me, either, but yeah, I was over 200 lbs less than 8 months ago.

Please do. You can load your pictures to Imgur and link to them here.

Can you please write out a sample daily meal plan, like
Breakfast
Snack
Lunch
Snack
Dinner
Etc.

I can tell you what I ate today

root beet from a jar (29 calories/100gr) - i ate maybe 300 gr?
2 eggs + 3 egg whites
100 gr cold cuts
tall latte from Starbucks and 35 gr nuts also from starbucks
raspberries 250 gr
Lindt dark chocolate with mint - 4 squares (40 gr)
I think that's maybe it?

Please, no one who posted looking for advise should try to emulate this kind of eating. It is seriously lacking in nutrients including fiber, and high in sugar.

How long does it take to walk 30,000 steps a day? Are you hungery?

I lost 20 just cutting out table sugar. I never thought I could make it through the work day without 16 oz of heavily sugared black tea. Then my body turned against me and I had diarrhea every time I had more than a smidge of sucrose.

BS, you have 3 kids and walk 30,000 steps a day and eat 700 calories. I doubt you have energy to do much of anything. Are you constipated? You barely eat any fiber. You should see a dietician and check your muscle and bone density.

I eat around 1000 calories now which is pretty much my basal metabolism at 130 lbs. And I have never been more productive. Being obese made me lazy. I was too tired to get up from the sofa.

No, not all. I used to eat when I was not hungry. That was my biggest problem.

Walking 30k steps (which I don't do every day now, like I used to, but I often do, or close to it). takes me between 3 and 4 hours. I walk very fast now. My problem has become that walking outside or (inside my house) is not challenging enough anymore because I crave steep hills. So I enrolled in a gym and I walk on treadmill at 18%, 20% for 30, 40 minutes.

Thank you! Now at 130 lbs - almost there!

There is no nutritionist in the world who would advise someone to eat 700 calories a day. And walking 30k steps a day burns way more than that so you would be losing several pounds a week at that rate which is also not healthy (unless of course you are like 600 pounds at the start).

I’m talking from a place of also starting a health journey several years ago so I know how long certain steps take etc… Walking 30k steps takes more hours a day than a typical person has. So you definitely don’t have a job or don’t have kids etc…I would bet you are lying about multiple things but the bigger issue is what you are doing is very disordered. And sure-you will be thin but you will also end up in the hospital. Good luck.

Taking control of your health is admirable but lying about it or even worse-advocating for extremely unhealthy ways of losing weight is definitely not.

This only works if you are eating a ton of sugar to begin with. it’s why when people have multiple regular sodas a day and then give them up them immediately lose a good amount of weight.
