PVS Champa not letting parents in

On the day I timed prelims and finals at 14&U Champs this past weekend at UMD, I signed in to time & asked when the timers briefing would be. I left the storage room area inside the swimmer entrance/exit door, and came back later to the storage area. The lady at the desk told us to walk to a room at the very end of the deck for the briefing. The briefing room had chairs, air conditioning, and one of the sessions someone brought us water for the briefing.

I timed Friday and Sunday prelims and there were no chairs or water in the timers room. Maybe people got wind of this thread?

Another volunteer delivered water (and snacks) to timers during each session I timed this weekend.

I am floored by this 10 page thread. I adore the long-time lady at the check in desk. She has been so sweet to my children, she is kind to me and we have nice conversations. I’m an official, but I don’t always serve. I timed at LC meet one day. (She was at lunch, so I didn’t see her at check-in that day.) My children have written a thank you note to her in the past for being so kind. I almost feel like these have to be two different people described in here, but that’s not possible.
