-lenient with illegal immigration
-tremendous impopularity of refugee cities whose budgets have been impacted by dealing with flood of migrants
-emphasis on wokeness, trans issues, DEI (all things that I care about but average person does not)
-perception that Trump will bring more blue collar jobs back home
-tremendous impopularity of Biden
-handling of Israel/Gaza war

+1. And Biden calling people “garbage” a week before the election didn’t help either (though I thought her response and distance to his comments was good).

Trump was calling Pierre ricans garbage a week before the election, called for the suppression of the free press, and for Liz Cheneys execution all in the past week. Not sure why Dems are judged on a double standard. The question isn’t why Kamala lost - it’s why did trump win despite all of his disqualifying factors including counted felonies, staging a coup, being twice impeached for quid pro quo and trying to obstruct democracy, his general vileness and all the other corruption of his first term.

And I honestly have no idea. I am completely puzzled. Trump is a disaster of a candidate. My best guess is that voters just didn’t “like” Kamala for the same reasons they didn’t “like” Hillary- deeply rooted misogyny. The war in Gaza also likely fractured democratic support, not unlike Bernie bros in 2016.

Hilary and Kamala are two deeply unlikable women. I held my nose and voted for both but neither one have a shred of likability.

Oh stop, both are good kind nice people. Far more likable than Trump.
But in America, women have to be Mother Teresa. Men just need a pulse

Good and kind? Is this a joke? Hilary was behind the dossier that launched the ridiculous Russia collusion narrative. It was all a lie and people on this very board fell for it. It’s not good and kind to lie to the American people.

Then please explain the thing that is now president.

And often racist.

And have bias against certain races and ethnicities and religions.

And ICYMI: not only immigrants who become citizens and vote are Latino.

I think the influx of Asians, middle eastern/muslim, African, etc. immigrants and voters (1st Gen particularly) means more conservative voters…obviously.

See this, voters? How quickly the left will turn against you and get vicious if you don’t give them the power they crave.

?

There is data backing this up.

And I’m sure there will be new data on the demographics voting for trump as well as fresh data on newly minted voter registration as R or D.

Did you miss all the shocked journalists asking minority focus groups who they would vote for and why? Did you miss all the new citizens and 1st Gen Americans weighing in on immigration while throwing their support to Trump? It’s real and it mattered.

It’s not the color of her skin but the content of her character.

You aren’t seriously using the “character” of the candidate as a basis, are you? There’s a lot of reasons why she was fighting a losing battle, but having the worse “character” is not it. And yes, I know the quote.

Biden admin economy
Biden admin wars
Biden admin lies (he’s “sharp as a tack”)
Biden admin internal coup

But the main one is this:
Biden admin reversing all of Trumps border policy on Day 1.

Presidents have to keep continuity and play politics to what the country likes. For instance, Obama didn’t reverse the Bush tax cuts on day 1. President Trump didn’t reverse Obamacare on Day 1.

Biden was so mad Trump didn’t concede the election or call him to congratulate that he went crazy on trying to intentionally reverse all Trump policy. Curiously he kept the tarriffs on China

The shining socialist example of Venezuela looks like a good place for them to go.

Please do keep demeaning American voters. It worked out so well calling us garbage and deplorables. You’re just now including minorities in your condemnation.

Second, her VP pick. She needed Josh Shapiro or someone from a swing state that she needed.

She couldn’t answer policy questions especially those when asked what did she disagree with on Biden.

The border and the economy. Those are huge issues she just kind of ignored.

She needed to have better policy positions and stronger policies other than first time homebuyers get $25k to buy a home. As someone who was a first time homebuyer in the last few years we worked hard, saved, and bought a small home that is a bad policy.

Friends and family who live in swing states didn’t like a lot of things about the current administration and see her as part of that. The Dems should have done a primary process and given someone a chance not associated with Biden maybe then they would have won?

Agree

She never talked about her policies or positions.

And all the programs she touted didn’t help middle class families but we would be paying for them since we pay tax bc we don’t have the means to avoid it.

In addition, she suggested policies for extra funding for SB black owners. WTF! I am a minority and SB owner and work my butt off. Stop giving hand-outs to black people and expect them to improve their well being. It was such a stupid ploy to get their votes. Lol

But Mr. "I have a concept of a plan" did talk about policies and positions? No, he just did a lot of blathering. Well - I take that back, he said he was going to put a 200% blanket tariff in place (which American businesses will have to pay) and a 20% sales tax (which will seriously hurt working class families).

Im a minority and the Democratic party has elevated black people at the expense of everyone else. It's like be happy with the crumbs and vote for us.

I mostly just feel sorry for Maya Rudolph. She just watched her meal ticket go up in smoke.
