Harry had a D in geography. Its odd that in UK, school and college grades are public knowledge. |
She is not genuine but she also doesn’t seem to be manipulative or use her feelings to manipulate. In that sense I respect her. Most of her American counterparts (entertainment people like Taylor swift Miley Cyrus, Meghan Markle, Katdashian etc) do use feelings and platforms to manipulate their fan base so I appreciate her old school view of fame. |
It’s so weird to me that William keeps coming to America for his climate change thingie. He hung around in New York during UN GA but wasn’t part of the actual proceedings. That’s a little embarrassing. At least Kate isn’t playing the game anymore — she skipped this New York trip and supposedly won’t be going to his next one either. |
Another Sugar whose mission is to make the royal family look bad and the principal person is Catherine. She is attacked because she has what Meghan Markle lacks. The ability to serve in a very difficult role with grace and perseverance. Not that it will be necessary, but Diana’s divorce settlement was equal to about $15M. It was invested wisely, and a large part of it was left to Harry. That is what funded his move to the US. Catherine gives a speech that is understandable to everyone and not a word salad of banal speak given in an histrionic manner. |
Do you think it was weird for Harry and Megan to come to New York and accept an award from the Robert F Kennedy Foundation fir exposing racism in the royal family and then Harry denying they said it? At least William comes to New Yorj with a positive message and not to accept fake awards. |
England stopped interfering in the policies of the United States around 1776. It might be time for others not to interfere in the policies of what is now the United Kingdom. |
That is an interesting take because you are right that she allows her kids to be displayed + photographed like pretty pets. |
For those not in the know, people who hate Meghan Markle call anyone who has anything nice to say about her “sugars.” Now. Catherine has been in the job for 10+ years. She just gave a speech for a mental health forum somewhere in the UK and it was very basic, not saying much of substance, and she read every last word from her notecards. You’d think that if your job was public speaking and you’ve done it for over ten years, you could muster up some basic remarks like “thanks everyone for coming, this is an important topic, you’re all doing great work here” without using notecards. |
Name an occasion where she has emphasized child mental health. |
The thing is the kids ARE going to be in the spotlight by virtue of their status. It seems she’s slowly acclimating them to this by trickling out pictures and having them included in family gatherings- trooping the colour etc….this seems reasonable. And makes more sense than hiding them away for 18 years and then dropping them into a life in the public eye. We don’t really know anything about their day to day lives. They seem sheltered from the public as much as she can. |
What does Meghan Markle have to do with anything? Everything I described is about Kate’s relationship and Kate’s public speaking skills. Meghan has been around Kate for years. Why can’t we talk about Kate Middleton without crazy people bringing up Meghan Markle? |
DP. Why is your basic argument that Kate is great because Meghan sucks? Maybe they both are blah. And (1) $15M is nothing compared to being married to the prince of wales. No country home, no fancy apartment in Kensington, no cottage, no achess to jewels etc. And I’m not sure what the guarantee of a generous divorce settlement would be when all of his wealth is not marital property that could be subject to a split. (2) Kate is “middle class” in the British sense so it would be a massive demotion in status for her and her family. No socializing with the Turnip Toffs with no estate, etc. |

The sugar thing is so creepy and I didn’t know that. The post they’re replying to has valid criticisms of Kate Middleton. (And zero mention of Meghan Markle.) It’s bizarre that if someone notices that Kate’s speeches are monotone and stiff, somehow that has to because they hate the monarchy. It can’t be because her speech was bad. That’s deranged. |
It is weird. Canada would seem a much more natural place given its ties to the UK. But you know you’re on the struggle bus when someone like Eric Adam’s can’t even be bothered to meet with you. |
