I was one of the folks who posted repeatedly that there was more to the conservatorship than the Free Britney folks were grasping. Since she won her freedom her life has been melting down as predicted.
I hope this is as bad as it gets, but sadly I don’t think she has anyone really looking out for her best interests and she is clearly treatment resistant when fully in charge of her own life. |
Mental illness is so scary, sad, and persistent, even with meds. Doesn't ever really go away. |
What’s with the British accent? That is scary AF. I feel so bad for her boys. |
Tragic to see, honestly. She is a complete and utter mess. |
So, you were defending Britney's actions before you saw what happened on the video. Why is Britney a credible witness? Why, before even seeing the video, would you not agree that it was unacceptable for her to touch a celebrity from behind - someone who was being quickly ushered through a space by bodyguards? Were you expecting the bodyguards to know who Britney was? Why would you not agree the only thing in question was the amount of force used to free the celebrity from Britney's touch/grasp? I was one of the PPs questioning that Britney was 'backhanded'. Clearly, we have different definitions of what 'backhanded' means. Having been backhanded plenty of times in my life, I understand it to be hit with notable force, with the back of someone's hand. It seems Britney has a similar understanding since she claims she nearly fell from the blow. I, rightly, questioned Britney's description of what happened. What I saw in the video was a swat from the back of someone's hand that gave her pause but did not cause her to even stumble, much less fall. I stand by my defense of the bodyguard who used appropriate force to remove the hand of someone touching his client. You can call it a 'backhand' if you like. |
It’s unfortunate that they are at risk to inherit her mental illness, but otherwise they seem to have it vetted than most kids in this country unlucky enough to be born to a mentally ill parent and especially a mentally ill mother. Unlike many of those kids, Britney’s sons have a reasonably good dad who stepped up even if he is raking in big child support. He seems also to have provided them with a stepmom who has filled the void to some degree - of course that attachment issue with mom isn’t overcome by a stepmom but it has surely been nice for them to have a stepmom they seem to love and respect. Only time will tell if they have been given the tools they need to succeed as adults - I hope they both have life plans beyond expecting to get money from their mother, as that would be entering a path of dysfunction that will be never ending. If they keep their heads down and go to school or otherwise pursue meaningful careers and keep things easy with the mother maybe they’ll be alright. |
I didn’t defend her actions or call her a credible witness. I didn’t call it a backhand, the reports did. I am still disgusted by any poster who believes that a backhand is an equal or acceptable reaction to a tap on the shoulder. If you weren’t one of them, chill out. |
+1 For years, she has also used the F word on an incredibly frequent basis. She spoke with the British accent back in 2008. |
from the video it looks like the guard was making space between her and the player and he made contact with her face. He didn't actually turn around and slap her in the face, like she is trying to make it out to be. It isn't right what the guard did, but she didn't explain things the way they really happened. Obviously she was embarrassed because she was treated like everyone else. She felt she should have received different treatment because she is Britney Spears. The bottom line is that the guard shouldn't be swatting anyone away like that when there is a chance he could touch someone. |
Ok I just saw the TMZ video.
A genuinely solid news source by the way. But this is much ado about nothing Also, Catch is a good restaurant. Been there. Recommend. |
Disagree-The security guard was too aggressive. Also the player lied about being shoved. That clearly didn’t happen. |
You sound insane. |
$55 million, $25 million guaranteed. Zion Williamson had a $75 million endorsement deal & Wembanyama is expected to double that. https://www.spotrac.com/nba/san-antonio-spurs/victor-wembanyama-82196/ https://www.the-sun.com/sport/8126622/victor-wembanyama-endorsement-deals-zion-williamson-jordan-brand-nba/ |
Another win for waiting before you jump to conclusions. Especially when it’s based on the word of a notoriously unstable and unreliable witness. |
